Complaints Procedure

Version 1.0, effective 5 October 2026

1. How to complain

1.1If you are unhappy with any part of our service, please tell us. Email contact@corvenlaw.com with the word "Complaint" in the subject line, or write to Corven Law Ltd, 19 The Circle, Queen Elizabeth Street, London SE1 2JE.

1.2Please tell us your name, the service concerned, what went wrong and what you would like us to do to put it right.

2. What we will do

2.1We will acknowledge your complaint within three working days.

2.2We will investigate and send you our written response within 14 days. If we need longer, we will tell you why and when you will hear from us.

2.3We will send our final written response within eight weeks of receiving your complaint at the latest.

2.4Complaining will not cost you anything, and it will not affect the way we treat you.

3. If you are still unhappy

3.1If your complaint is about the service of the solicitor who checked your work, and you are not satisfied with our final response, or eight weeks have passed since you complained, you may be able to complain to the Legal Ombudsman. The Legal Ombudsman can consider the service of the solicitor only. It cannot consider complaints about the services of Corven Law Ltd, because Corven is not regulated by a legal services regulator.

3.2You must normally complain to the Legal Ombudsman within six months of our final response, and within one year of the problem happening or one year of when you found out about it.

3.3The Legal Ombudsman's contact details are: PO Box 6167, Slough, SL1 0EH; telephone 0300 555 0333; email enquiries@legalombudsman.org.uk; website www.legalombudsman.org.uk.

3.4If you are concerned about the conduct of the solicitor, as opposed to the quality of service, you can raise it with the Solicitors Regulation Authority at www.sra.org.uk.

3.5Corven Law Ltd is not a member of an alternative dispute resolution scheme. You remain free to take your complaint to court.

4. Complaints about your personal information

4.1If your complaint is about how we use your personal information, our privacy notice explains your right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
